Words and Physics : Review by Daniel Simpson

This game has a pretty unique concept, to complete the levels, the player is required to type and delete certain words to cause movement and physical events, the objective of each level is to remove the block that says “remove me”. Your main method for this is to drop it off the bottom of the level before it gets destroyed (by lasers and other miscellaneous occurrences) everything in the level is made or created by text so, it is a very original concept that I have seen nowhere else. Most of the puzzles revolve around space, direction, and timing. Players may not know it but they are using basic computer programming skills using certain words to make things happen… interesting.

Words and Physics

The game reminds me of text responsive games in which a player would have to type words to make the character act E.G LEFTRIGHTJUMPPUNCH etc. All the physics work as you would expect, eg friction, momentum and buoyancy all seem fairly realistic.

My ONLY bad point about this game is that it was just too short, I guess the developers just ran out of ideas, being the genre that it is and the type of design that is present in the game, I think that making a player designed level pack would be a very smart move.

I’ll wrap this up and say that I enjoyed this game, I was amazed by the creativity used. The puzzles are reasonably challenging, the walkthrough does help if you are ever stuck, it is in two parts and can be found through the link in the game and on youtube. I think this game be enjoyed by everybody but some of the puzzles can prove difficult for some, but as I said the walkthrough IS there. I’ll give it an 8 out of 10. Thankyou for Reading, I hope you enjoyed my article

And as always…

HAPPY GAMING ;D
